EXPECTANCY.

[ik-spek-tuh n-see] noun

1. the quality or state of expecting; expectation; anticipatory belief or desire.

2. the state of being expected.

3. an object of expectation; something expected.

Expectancy... the dire need to know "what's next?", the feeling that something great is about to happen, anticipating God's plan for your life, and above all else the active stage of WAITING.

As we enter the season of expectancy, everyone has so many unanswered questions. What job will I be blessed with as I graduate college? When will I meet that special someone? What are my next steps in my career? How will I possibly ever get out of debt? Trust me.. we have all asked ourselves at least one of these questions. Unfortunately, once these questions go unanswered for long periods of time, we tend to slip into a state of panic called DOUBT. This is actually called being human. We want to be in control of everything at all times and we struggle with just sitting back and letting God handle our light weight. If we were suppose to know everything and have all the answers our name would be God.

Sometimes we get too caught up in worrying about what everyone else has going on; we see them getting these opportunities, being in these "amazing" relationships, and sometimes accomplishing goals that we wish to achieve. Then we think, "Well how come they are doing it and not me? I'm a good person, I do the right things, and I'm extremely qualified." Well I'm here to tell you, it doesn't matter how qualified you are, and how much you believe you deserve something, if the timing isn't right... better yet if it's not in God's timing it'll never work. Some people have to wait years before God's ultimate plan manifests in their lives, because he wants the moment to be perfect for his children. He's not going to rush his plan because you want it now. Actually, we all have dealt with situations where we actually got what we wanted, when we wanted it. Lol, it was terrible. It was painful, rushed, and an actual joke. Then we realize why timing is so important.

The slightest mistake in timing could mess up years of blessings for some people. You could meet a person that would be your potential spouse too far in advance, and that person wouldn't be ready for you, or vice versa. You could get a job too far in advance and unfortunately be working under the wrong person and that could delay your potential advancement in the company for years. The moral of the story is we are all expecting God to do wonders in our lives and we want him to reveal his extraordinary plan to us. Instead of constantly wondering what that plan is and falling into doubt and worry we must do our part and give all of our worries over to him.

It's our job to work hard, spread the word of God, be a cheerful giver, and do the right things regardless of who's watching. So we must do our part, and God will handle the rest. It's that simple. He'll even bless you TENFOLD for having undeniable faith in this unrevealed plan for your life. How can one have a flaw in their faith and a crack in their character and expect to be blessed? It won't happen. You'll never progress in life. Rest in assurance that he can handle all of your doubts today, and watch him do just that. Before you know it, all of his favor will be manifesting in your life.

Psalm 55:22 "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."
